The reason to have an environment variable is:
- When there is more than one ticket printer. When someone on workstation #1 prints a ticket and chooses a certain printer, then the next person that tries to print from workstation #2, Wintix is looking for that same printer.
- If workstation #2’s printer driver is named something different, then Wintix can’t find that printer on workstation #2. Then they have to choose the right printer.
- So, now that I know that just changing the names, to make sure they’re exactly the same, will work, that would be best.
Adding an environment variable to a computer sets the defaults for label and ticket printing in Wintix.
