Patron charged too many time for online purchase but there is no sale?

A Webtix user reported:

“A customer called me today stating she ordered tickets online and that she was charged the amount of the ticket seven times. When I looked into it, I show no order from her, although I do see her customer information in customer look up.”

What happened is that she had several tabs open in her browser and thought she had pressed “submit” but the transaction didn’t go through in Wintix.

She had created a lot of “pending sales” and locked up her credit card.  The bank cleared  it and she called back to purchase her tickets.  She had some issues with her address not matching the credit card, which led to the several open tabs.
