Error – file access denied

A Wintix user reported that one of their clerks got the message Error 1705 file access denied while trying to print a receipt. However, a short time later no more errors occurred.

  • Anytime you see an error with the phrase File access denied, it is due to Windows permissions on the folder/directory in question.
  • It’s difficult to determine why that error was displayed while trying to print a receipt, then later the computer was able to print the receipt without the error.
