It can be useful – or at least interesting – to see which platforms your patrons use when purchasing tickets to your events.
We know, for instance, that currently 52% of Webtix purchases are being made on mobile devices. We all know that the use of mobile devices is growing exponentially, so it is valuable to see what your patrons are using.
It’s also very simple to use Wintix to find out.
Get a report by day or by show and send it to a spreadsheet. Then, look for the column Browser. That is the information that Webtix is given. Some samples of what it will look like:
- Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 8_1_2 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/600.1.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/8.0 Mobile/12B440 Safari/600.1.4
- Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 4.4.2; SAMSUNG-SM-G730A Build/KOT49H) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/41.0.2272.96 Mobile Safari/537.36
