A Wintix user told us that an employee accidentally marked an account for deletion that was full of history. Since she didn’t know about that, she used the “remove accounts marked for deletion” tool and the patron was deleted.
Our client discovered a similar method.
- She ran a Reports | Report by Customer for the customer that was deleted.
- This gave her a list of all the sales that were attached to that customer, because the sales still existed even though the customer was deleted.
- She then created a brand new account for that customer.
- Using the sale numbers in the report, she looked up each individual sale number and appended the sale to the new customer account she created.
