Printing house blanks

(Last Updated On: November 27, 2015)

A new Wintix user asked us a question. “Our first concerts using Wintix are tomorrow and Thursday, and I’m realizing I have no idea how to print house blanks. These are blank tickets that I take to every performance, just in case someone shows up who has lost their tickets. So in other words, the blank tickets have all the show information – just not a specific seat. I’m assuming there must be a way to do this, but it’s not apparent to me.

There are three ways to do this:

  • The simplest solution is to set up a special section on your plan of, say, 20 seats. Give it a status field (so you can see it) and price codes (so you can sell it). Then, “sell” the blank seats. They will print out with blank seats.
  • Or go to Show | Edit a show and double click on the performance. Turn off the seating chart. Then, click on Tools | Ticket printing | Print unsold seats for 1 performance. Select that performance and decide how many general admission tickets you want to print.
  • Use your word processor. Word processors can also print to a ticket printer.

Note: Practice with a different printer using letter paper. It’s much less expensive than using ticket stock.
